Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Student Group

The College respects and celebrates Indigenous cultures as rich and living traditions. Students are invited to lead and take part in an Indigenous Group, through which knowledge is shared across the school community. First Nations students work with staff to coordinate whole-of-school events marking Reconciliation and NAIDOC Weeks; as well as other cultural awareness activities initiated by students.

The group is supported by an Aboriginal Contact Teacher who works closely with the students. The Contact Teacher also organises additional support, including some one-on-one tutoring if needed. The group has its home in a beautiful purpose-created space called the Kanberri Room.
