St John Paul II College is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) school. Information Communication Technologies (ICT) are strategically embedded into the curriculum so that students can learn how and when to use various programs and apps. These skills do not displace paper resources, including tasks requiring handwriting.
St John Paul II College encourages the use of Apple MacBooks, MacBook Airs and or MacBook Pros due to their performance, compatibility, security features , and seamless user experience conducive to learning. These devices support a variety of educational applications and features, enhancing students' education journey. The majority of JPC students choose to use Apple devices.

Window laptops meeting specific criteria are permissible. However, students are encouraged to prioritise MacBooks for their education needs. Windows devices must meet the following requirements, including compatibility with school systems, to ensure a smooth learning experience.

To maintain compatibility and security standards, tablets, including iPads, Chromebooks, and Android devices are NOT permitted.
Continuing JPC students using iPads may continue to use them until they are replaced or until a laptop becomes necessary.
