Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews
Dear Parent’s/Carer’s,
This year our Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews will be taking place online in Teams Meetings. We will be running two sessions:
- Wednesday 6th April 2022 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm
- Thursday 28th April 4.00 pm - 6.30 pm
You need to book your appointments on the Parent Portal (Sentral) and this will be where you access your appointments on the day. You will also require your own access to Microsoft Teams, https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/microsoft-teams/log-in or you may choose to use that of your son or daughter. We always advise that your son or daughter is part of the discussion with teachers.
Interview bookings will open on Monday 28 March 2022 at 12:00 pm and close on Tuesday 5 April 2022 at 12:00 pm.
Interview bookings will be 5 minutes in duration. Please do not book your interviews back to back, leaving at least 5 minutes between each interview. If a teacher would particularly like to meet you to discuss your child, you will receive a notification through the portal that an interview has been requested. If you do not receive a notification, you are still very welcome to book an interview. However, please remember that the number of sessions available to all parents are limited.
The Teams links for your bookings will be provided to you through the Parent Portal attached to your Interviews Schedule.
If you are unable to secure a booking with your child’s teacher, please contact the teacher directly, via email to arrange another time to have a discussion.
Should you experience difficulties please do not hesitate to contact IT Support for assistance, email JPCPortal@cg.catholic.edu.au.
Kind Regards
Catherine Rey
Principal
Note - Instructions on how to access the Parent Portal (Sentral) and how to download MS TEAMS are available on the JPC Website under Key JPC Links here
NAPLAN Coordinated Practice Test
Dear students and families,
A big thank you to the Year 7 and 9 students who completed their NAPLAN Coordinated Practice Test this week. It was excellent to see students using this opportunity as a chance to familiarise themselves with the test platform, and practicing within the test conditions.
A reminder to all students that the official NAPLAN tests will be occurring early in Term 2, and we would ask that students do not delete the NAPLAN app from their devices to ensure a smooth start to the official tests. Further information will be provided as these dates draws closer.
Thank you once again for the excellent resilience and behaviour throughout this process.
NAPLAN Coordinators
Jessica Reid and Kathryn Allan

Maths Tutoring – it is a great success!
Some of our keen Maths students at Thursday afternoon Maths Tutoring – it is a great success!
Thanks to Dr Afghan, Ms Gao, Mrs MacGregor, Mr Martyn, Mr Scarano, Mrs Garvie, Mrs Tually for taking the time to support these students with their maths learning.
We will be running a Mathematical Mindset course on Wednesdays Period 2, from Week 4-7 next term (Term 2). This is open to students from Year 7-12.
This course will look at ways to decrease maths anxiety, to improve achievement in Mathematics. Mathematics anxiety is that feeling of panic or dread you may feel when going into a Mathematics test, completing maths homework or generally when you think about going to your maths class. This course will look at strategies you can use when faced with some of these feelings or situations.
If your son or daughter would like to be part of this course, please have them register their name by clicking on the link and filling in the form:

We have been informed that there are still places left in this extremely worthwhile and practical workshop for parents and/or carers of children with Autism. Positive Partnership workshops provide practical advice and allow families to connect with others within the area.
