The Feast of St John Paul II – A liturgy
Part of our “Feast Day Reimagined” program!
JPC – always spiritual, flexible, responsive, inclusive, connected…..
On Tuesday this week, each Mentor teacher and their mentee students shared a very special liturgical experience in an intimate small-group setting to celebrate the life of St John Paul II and learn more about his influence as our school patron. This was held in small groups in response to the impact Covid restrictions have on our gathering in large numbers, as we would normally do for our Feast Day Mass and celebrations.
The Feast of St John Paul II Liturgy showed us that St John Paul II was a man of faith, hope and love, especially for young people. He challenges us to live lives of faith through our relationship with God, be courageous by stepping outside our comfort zones in all that we do, and to be of service to each other and those in need.
Our teachers are sincerely thanked for the way they embraced the opportunity to run the liturgy with their mentees – each made a special effort to create a reverent atmosphere for the liturgy in their spaces. We also thank the canteen staff who baked, iced and delivered 1000 individual House cakes for our students – some traditions must be maintained!

Dear Families,
We are very excited to let you know that Dr Ann Cleary has been appointed as the Principal of St Clare’s College from the beginning of 2022. She is a leader with a wealth of expertise and experience that she will take to this community. She has a great educational vision and passion and will bring all of this to her new community.
We will greatly miss her but we wish her every blessing as she takes this next step in her journey.

JPC’s House Captains Discernment Session
For our aspiring 2022 House Captains – next Wednesday!
Next Wednesday, our aspiring 2022 House Captains are invited to participate in the session for the House Captain Discernment Session. This session is designed to lead our current and continuing Year 10 students into the House Captain Election to be held later this term (see Key Dates below).
Through an exploration of the life of Jesus in his model of servant leadership, we focus on leading with vision to benefit their House communities and gain a better understanding of how their House patron influences the culture of JPC. An impressive number of students have already shown interest in developing their leadership skills and aspiring to House Leadership roles for 2022.
Permission for students to attend this event must be given on Qkr! Please contact Mrs Jennifer Tually for further information.
We are very excited to be working with this group of Year 10 students!

Yr 10 Certification & Awards Ceremony (last day for Year 10) |
This week was a huge one for the Performing Arts department as the Senior Music, Dance and Drama students performed their final assessment for the year after school on Wednesday and Thursday. Though the theatre was nearly empty in the audience, we were able to live-stream the event so anyone at home could watch.
We are all so proud of the students for their efforts despite the difficulty of online learning for most of this semester. A very special thank you to Aron and the tech crew for supporting the events, Kris Davis, Daniel Cunneen and Andrew Soesman for her help with live-streaming, Natasha Bramham for taking photos and all the wonderful teachers who were able to provide the live support for the students during the performances.
