Cinderella – the Fairytale Lives on!
It is with great excitement that we are able to present our Musical Show, Cinders, a pantomime inspired show.
This show will be an adaptation of the 2020 proposed Production, Cinderella: A Pantomime. The show will be reworked and has been renamed. This allows for JPC students to be part of the creation process of scripting, characterisation and all things seen on stage. There will be three evening performances available to a paying audience running from Term 3, Week 3 Thursday 29th July – Saturday 31st July 2021. More information to follow.
The cast will be filled with students from Years 7 to 12 and all talents are welcome to showcase their abilities on stage. All last year’s cast and new students will need to confirm their commitment to the Show via submitting the form on QKR! by week 7 More information will be distributed to the students in Week 6. The musical is an excellent opportunity for students to develop their confidence in singing, dancing and performing as well as creating new friendships with like-minded students.
Information regarding Backstage and Tech Crew involvement will follow later.
Weekly rehearsals will begin on Week 6, Wednesday 10th March period 5 during ILT. Weekly afterschool rehearsals will be Week 7, Wednesday 17th March period 5 to 4.30pm. Students will need to select this as their period 5 option until the cast is finalised.
Stayed tuned for more information regarding the Show. Please contact Mrs Sarah Smith or the Front Office regarding your child’s involvement in this year’s Show, Cinders.
