Message from Nic Whatman, Assistant Principal
Welcome back to Term 2. The JPC staff hopes that the first week back at school for families has been productive and smooth as we move into another busy term ahead. We would like to congratulate all students on their return to school, the uniform worn and learning that occurred by students was exemplary. Congratulations to all students, staff and parents/carers on this positive start to Term 2.
We would also like to thank all parents and carers who attended parent-student-teacher interviews. These interviews are valuable to ensure that the partnership between home and school is consistent and that we can support students to become lifelong learners. We look forward to continuing the positive start to the Term.
Kind Regards,
Mr Nic Whatman

Students and families in the different year groups will all find the event useful to them in different ways.

Did you know that students can commence an Australian School Based Apprenticeship (ASBA) once they turn 15?
Students do not have to wait until they are in senior school to commence an ASBA at JPC. If your young person is considering an ASBA in year 9- 12, we recommend you attend the ASBA talk and speak to some of the organisations listed below about how to get started with the process.
Faculty information (For Year 9 and 10 Students)
There is an opportunity to see the courses JPC is offering for Senior years (Year 11 and 12) and teachers will be available to discuss the subjects offered for 2024. There will also be a presentation in the theatre throughout the night outlining how to choose subjects in Year 11 and 12 and some introductory information about the Senior Secondary System. For Year 9 students this may help support decisions about electives choices for Year 10.
Enrolment and Scholarship information for Year 10 students continuing at JPC for their Senior Years in 2024 will also be available on the night.

Sports Facilitator Role - Change
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday and is ready for an awesome Term 2.
I just wanted to take some time to let you know that I am stepping back from the Sports Facilitator role as I move to part-time to spend some more time with my family including my 3 and 4-year-old boys. I want to thank you all for your support, commitment and dedication to the sporting opportunities, and teams at JPC. I have loved the last 18 months in this role and will certainly still be involved as much as I can.
If you have any questions or issues in regard to JPC Sport for term 2 and beyond please direct them to Kym Darmody kym.darmody@cg.catholic.edu.au)
