On Wednesday 11 August, selected JPC students participated in the Northside Football Gala Day at Dickson Playing Fields. On the day, despite losing their first match narrowly to Lyneham and having only 1 substitution, the girls showed great determination, skill and teamwork in all of their round games with outstanding efforts from several players across the squad. This resulted in the girls coming 2^nd in their pool with a goal difference of +7, meaning they would face Daramalan in the bronze medal match. The girls were determined to beat Daramalan in the match, after watching the boys beat them in their semi-finals prior, and used every last bit of energy to try and defeat them with several chances created. Unfortunately, the girls were unable to score and come back after Daramalan had scored a few early goals, resulting in them placing 4^th on the day.

A huge congratulations to all the girls who participated on the day and I look forward to future Soccer competitions with them in the future!
