Work Experience Review
Work Experience Review – Amisha Sehgal and Dariy Guzairov
Two of our Year 12 students were successful in obtaining a place in the Australian Signals Directorate work experience program during the holidays. Well done!
Amisha: “I wanted to know if cyber security is the pathway I should take on as a potential career. I enjoyed everything but more specifically learning about geospatial analysis and utilising geospatial tools for imagery analysis. Furthermore, I also learnt how important Maths is in most of the activities we did which were fascinating to see how Maths helped in finding solutions. Teamwork and communication was an important factor in solving a problem and reaching a solution. When challenges were faced, communication and further research was key to solving the problem. The Work Experience further convinced me to pursue a career in the ICT area. It has also provided me more clarity for my future decisions.”
Dariy: “I developed a lot of new skills that I can now use. It was different to how I expected it to work, as it was a government job, I didn't know much about it. I think my future career choices has expanded thanks to this work experience program.”
