On Tuesday evening, the music department ran two huge music concerts. These concerts showcased the talents and hard work of every music student at JPC. These ranged from rock bands, concert bands, vocal groups and solo performers. All of which could not have sounded so incredible without the amazing tech crew. Aron and I are so proud of all the students for performing and would like to thank everyone in the audience for coming to support the students. Most of them were playing just for the end of term concert but there were a few brave seniors who chose to perform their assessment piece on the night which sounded amazing.

A huge thank you to our music teachers Matt Lustri, John Burgess and Matthew Foster for attending the concerts and playing with the students. Your dedication to our students and the music program is very much appreciated. Our amazing emcee Genevieve Beckett delivered a smile as she introduced each group on the night, and what a fabulous job she did. A huge thank you to Catherine Ray for coming to support us and the students at both concerts and for the kind words after each one. I would also like to thank Aron Lyon for being such an amazing musical colleague, I’m so lucky to work with a like-minded, passionate musician. Last but not least, thank you to the students for making our jobs such a pleasure to wake up to each morning.
