Last Friday all the Year 9-12 Dance elective students went on an excursion to see a performance by Quantum Leap at the Canberra Theatre. Quantum Leap (QL2) is a dance company based in Canberra that trains young people in Contemporary Dance. Many of the school’s students have gone on to work professionally as dancers around Australia and overseas. Their performance “Rebel. Then. Now. When?” spoke about Civil Rights Movements of the past and present. It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to see quality dance performance and provide inspiration for their upcoming choreography assessments.
