Cafe Stepping Stone
On Wednesday the Senior Health and Wellbeing class went to lunch at Cafe Stepping Stone in Dickson.
The class has been studying migration and refugees and their inequities in Health and Cultural Perceptions of Health.
This cafe is staffed completely by migrant and refugee women and we were joined for lunch by Belen the Café Manager and trainee staff Samira from Bangladesh and Aleki from South Sudan. The students prepared questions and discovered what is it like to find employment and what this has meant to these women.
