We are excited to share highlights from our recent skill-building program for Accredited Year 11 and 12 students that took place on Tuesday.

During the first session of the day, students had the privilege of attending a presentation by the Australian National University Tax Clinic on Tax for Beginners. This session served as a valuable introduction (or refresher) to their responsibilities as workers regarding tax obligations, deductions, and superannuation. Equipping students with these practical skills and essential knowledge is vital for their success in the workplace.

In the second session, students engaged in online courses provided by Fair Work Australia, focusing on Starting a Job and Managing Difficult Conversations in the Workplace. Upon completion, the students generated a certificate to include in their career’s portfolio.

Lastly, we were honoured to host Melinda Brady, a member of the JPC Careers community and an experienced Occupational Therapist, who shared insights on Workplace Health and Wellbeing. We extend our gratitude to Melinda for generously sharing her expertise with our students.
