Teaching and Learning - Science
Science has started the year off with a bang (or, rather a pop!). Year 8 students have been immersing themselves in the world of science as a standalone subject, embarking on a journey of discovery about energy through experiments and writing practical reports.
Year 9 students are investigating biology, delving deep into the intricate mechanisms of the body's control systems; through Nervous and Endocrine control, unravelling the mechanisms our bodies use to keep stable.
Year 10 chemistry, students have hit the ground running. They seamlessly transitioned from year 9 revision to exploring the captivating realm of chemical reactions. Their journey is punctuated by engaging practical experiments, such as the pop and flame test, igniting sparks of fascination and igniting a passion for scientific inquiry.
Year 9 and 10 students are currently undertaking their ILT tasks.
Year 11/12 students have settled back into the expectations of senior school, having submitted their first assessment pieces for 2024. Year 11/12 students have also been offered the opportunity to undertake an internship at Questacon!
