Student Spotlight: Logan Salvage - ASBA
Logan is one of our Year 12 Accredited students who is undertaking an Australian School-Based Apprenticeship (ASBA). He is currently attending school three days a week, working one day a week and studying at CIT for the other day. This is no easy feat! Logan share's his experience as an ASBA student below and we congratulate him on his achievements so far!
Where are you currently working and what are you currently studying?
I’m currently working at Cataldo's hair salon in the city and I’m studying a Certificate III in hairdressing at CIT.What do you enjoy the most about completing an ASBA?
I enjoy doing an ASBA because I get the best of both worlds. I get to progress my career while not sacrificing my education.
What has been challenging about completing an ASBA?
The challenge of doing an ASBA is balancing work, school and life. It works out in the end because you're doing what you're passionate about.
What do you hope to achieve after you finish Year 12?
Complete my apprenticeship, become qualified and become the best hairdresser I can be.What advice would you give students looking to get into the hairdressing industry?
Find the right salon that works for you. Surround yourself with people who are experienced and talented so you can become the best version of yourself.
