Evoenergy Apprenticeship Program
Evo Energy is visiting JPC on Monday 19th of August at lunch! Open to students in Y9-12, come and hear about their apprenticeship program.
The current apprenticeship program is open to those who are finishing Year 12 this year.
Throughout the Apprenticeship, you will gain on-the-job training in your trade, while you receive support from our dedicated Apprenticeship Team Lead, so you can have a safe and successful career.
What trades are available
Lineworkers are responsible for building, improving and maintaining the poles and wires that deliver electricity to our customers
Cable Jointers are responsible for installing and maintaining the underground cables and network equipment that deliver electricity to our customers
Electrical Fitters are responsible for maintaining, servicing and constructing the network of the ACT.

Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) application information
The Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) processes applications for admission to most undergraduate courses at participating institutions (located in NSW and the ACT).
Applications for 2025 entry are now open and Year 12 students can submit applications up until the end of January.
Early bird applications close on 29 September. After this, the fee increases significantly.
JPC Year 12 students may apply for the School's Recommendation Scheme. The information can be found in the link below.

Ag Career Start gap year program
If you’re 17-25, this unique gap-year program provides you with a paid job, training and development, not to mention the opportunity to build your networks within the agriculture industry.
Applicants can indicate which farm type they’d prefer from a wide variety, and also where in Australia they would ideally like to go.
Animal Logic - Animation Work Experience Week
Have you ever been interested to learn how we make amazing films? You’re in luck, as Animal Logic is excited to announce our next ‘Work Experience Week’ in November 2024!
Work Experience Week is aimed year 10 and year 11 students who are interested in working in a feature animation studio, as we provide the chance to for students to learn about the roles and responsibilities related to a career in the Animation & Visual Effects workplace. Students will be involved in a combination of lectures, experimental artistic, technical learning and presentation skills, all by some of the best artists/technicians in the industry.
